Initially, I had plans to travel back to Florida for the summer of 2024. I even had a volunteer gig lined up at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Additionally, two other parks had reached out to me, looking for someone to help.
However, at the last minute, issues arose surrounding the finalization of my divorce, and I had to cancel any travel plans for this summer.
So I made a significant decision to bring my RPOD RV out of storage and settle into a seasonal site at White Thorn Lodge (WTL), just a short three-mile drive from my mom's assisted living facility. This move allows me to visit her every morning during the weekdays while I stay at WTL.
During the weekends, I usually make the journey back to my hometown of Lisbon, Ohio. This allows me to attend to any personal matters that require my presence there. It's a balance that I've found works well for me — weekdays filled with quiet RV'ing, and weekends for yard work.
White Thorn Lodge has quickly become my second home, offering a serene and welcoming environment amidst nature. Not to mention it is the least expensive full hookup seasonal site probably within a 100 miles.
My Site in "The Flats" located some distance from all the activities. Nice and quiet.
