For those unaware, I spend hours each day on projects to enhance the daily experiences of my mother. For some time now I have been curating photos and adding them daily to Amazon Photo groups which are both shareable to anyone, but more importantly shareable to my mother, appearing as slide shows on her "Echo Show" mounted on the wall in her Assisted Living residence.
Recently my brother provided me two of mom's old RHS yearbooks. (Rochester High School) ...her Senior year 1952 and her Junior year 1951. I have scanned all the 1952 pages with the numerous inscriptions into an Amazon Photos album called "1952 Rochester High School Year Book" and since added these nearly 100 photos to her existing hundreds on her slide show. You can view that album here.
Today I began working on the 1951 yearbook and the first thing I noticed on page six was a music score of the RHS Alma Mater. Note the following photo of this piece. then scroll down more.
(Is it me or does it sound familiar?...Dirty Dancing?)
Being the tech guy I am, I have an app called Scores - Flat. The app allows me to write music (the notes) onto a staff after which I can then embed the the score into a web page (below) which can be played. Click the forward button at the bottom of the piece to hear the song. It is only four staffs long. Then scroll down some more.
The above app also allows me to export the song as an MP3 file. This can then be uploaded to another app (site) I use called WeVideo for making movies. The finished movie can then be exported as an MP4 file.
The movie can then be uploaded to MY YouTube account and the link can be shared to others as here
...OR embedded into a web page to be viewed ...as below.
