While reviewing old photos mom had taken in her teenage years (probably mid to late 40's) I asked her about this one. She recalled the Boy's name as Bobo. And they were in the front of a store called Spanes. But she could not tell me where this store was. So I sent the photo out to some of the elders in my family tree asking if they ever heard of Spanes. And to my surprise Sid Martin III recalled a FB post his father made in 2017... as follows: (Thank You Skip!)
FB Post by Sid Martin Jr., Jan 11, 2017. You’ll always be in our hearts Lizzie.
Spanes store, a little corner store (on Noss Plan) that's been closed since the early 70's, but if you’re old enough to remember it, you’re a lucky person.....because we had Lizzie. From piercing little girls ears with red thread, running the store, applying first aid, the tea she would make was somehow better, the free candy she would give us, and what I'm going to miss the most...the hug and kiss she always had for everyone. Liz never had any children of her own, but in a way, all of us kids from the hill were her kids. Yes Lizzie was a special soul and on Monday when we lost her, God gained an Angel. Eternity in Heaven is your reward Lizzie.....Love You and we’re going to miss you.
