Mom Events - Week Of April 21st

Last week, my sister was visiting and she happened to point out mom's "new" slippers, to one of the staff (Bruce), she was wearing and asked him; 

"In your travels if you see a pair of slippers just like these, without all the bling, could you return them to Mom's room?"

A little while later he returned with the slippers; he had looked and found them in the laundry room. They had been missing so long , I had time to order from Amazon a replacement pair, bling them up and take them to mom. (well over a week). Bruce again is a savior. 

What I wouldn't give to write some procedures in that place!

As much as I enjoy transporting Mom to and from her Wound Care doctor with the time to drive around together and reminisce, I simply can not do it anymore. It is too hard on me and not so good for mom either. Going forward  I will leave it to them to do as they simply wheel her chair into a van and it is much easier on everyone. And ..we "are" paying a monthly premium for her extra care.  So this coming Wednesday I will simply join her at Dr "Tommy's" next visitation 9:30 am.
