Mom was in good spirits. Interestingly, when I asked about her feet, she said; "They are good. I took off the bandages this morning."I asked; "Why did you do that?"Her reply; "She said I could!" ... ugh I will be visiting Tomorrow.

Packed My Bike Cooler as always for trip to Mom. Needed to swing by Sparkle for Cracker Jacks and Raisins. (Travis; this has been the most useful thing ever. Thanks so much)
Mom was in great spirits and this is her toes as I arrived. I brought the dremmel to open up her crocs more but decided I did not need it.
Restocked; Interestingly she still had some stuff from last time. That never happened before.
Unlike my typical GO TO YouTube, this time I logged into my Amazon Prime account and we watched some Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Found sister;s heart photo laying on the floor. I taped it up on the wall.
About 10 am they came and took Mom for a shower; in readiness for her 1:00 PM trip to the doctor. She returned ready to spit. She was pissed off big time. "I HATE this place" "Don't let me near a door or I am outta here". She said she felt like she was going to throw up. I gave her a Baby Ruth and she settled down. ...Kids!

While we were watching her TV i noticed the scheduled music time did not happen on her Echo Show. Upon looking closer I noted it has dropped off the wifi. It has TWO wifi accounts and it can jump on either one, but BOTH would not allow it to connect. An hour later when I left it still would not connect. I am home now and I can see it is STILL offline. I will keep watching it, but the issue is THERE network. I think they are out of DHCP leases. (too many things on their network) ugh. By later in the day it had reconnected.

Kevin, Rich & Eleanor all visited mom with gifts and cake for her Birthday. Sister Kathy joined them on a Video Call to Mom's Show. I too had a brief video call albeit I had just got off one with mom a couple hours earlier. They reported Mom's bandages were down to a single toe wrapping on each foot. Mom was in good spirits.

When I arrived, the room was empty. Sometimes that’s a nice change—it gives me a chance to restock without her being underfoot. She showed up a few minutes later, though. Once again, I noticed one of the devices that turns on her floor lamp was offline. More network issues, I guess. I re-plugged it, and fortunately, it seemed to reconnect. She went straight for the Baby Ruth candy bar. I know she’d probably prefer Reese’s Cups, but I’m still working through the 24-count box of Baby Ruths I picked up at Rogers Flea Market for just five bucks. (Grin.) As usual, she asked if I’d found a good woman yet. I replied, “No, now I’m looking for a bad one.” (Smile.) Occasionally, there are pictures from her teenage years. Whenever a photo of her and a couple of other girls pops up, she can immediately name the others. I wish I could jot down their names quickly enough to label the photos. We shared a few laughs over some comedy bits. After about an hour, she started nodding off while watching, so I decided it was time to leave.

Looking to switch up Mom's daily music sessions with some Christmas holiday tunes, I decided to check her Amazon Music account. I wondered if I could create playlists on my account and share them with her. While reviewing our accounts, I realized we were paying $9.99 per month for each—mine and hers. A single family plan for $16.99 seemed like a much better option, so I made the switch.
To my surprise, Amazon already has several Christmas playlists, so I didn’t need to curate anything myself. This morning, I switched her Thursday's 9:15 - 9:55 AM music session from Herb Alpert Radio to Holiday Jazz. More changes are on the way!
P.S. The family plan lets me share unlimited music access with up to five others within the USA. Mom is already one, so I have four spots left. Let me know if you're interested—first come, first served!

Somewhere in the past of collecting photos, and tape recordings of the family I somehow recall a mention of Dad's middle name (Leland) being named after a football player at Geneva college in Beaver falls. I am thinking it was in one of Aunt Margaret's' tape recordings, recorded by Sid.
Anyway, just for kicks I googled Leland Beaver Falls Geneva College.. and there was a star football player in 1926, 27 (Dad was born in 28) ....
Remember that communities were not that big back then; I recall Aunt Eunice (born in 1921) once said as a child in Monaca, she could name every other child, their parents and their grandparents... things that make you go hmmm.
During his long and distinguished high school coaching career, Leland Schachern ..always looked like a man who had been too small to do anything more active in his youth than serve as a team manager. But he was actually a star quarterback and safety of the Geneva College football team in 1920 and again in 1926 and 1927

These are the grandparents, Aunts & Uncles of Mom. Wonder if Mom ever met any of them? Bonnie says she met Grandma Sarah (Gam) when she was very young. Traveled from Rochester to Gam's very tiny home (wherever?)
