I’m 73 years old and have been RVing for over 40 years. I’ve traveled across this country from the East Coast to the West Coast and back again—twice. Along the way, I’ve stayed at RV parks in nearly every state, literally hundreds of them.
With that experience, I was really looking forward to visiting Mountain Air Ranch, especially since it advertises as clothing optional. I believe there are really only three main reasons people stay at an RV park:
1. It’s a convenient overnight stop on the way to somewhere else.
2. It’s close to attractions or places you want to visit.
3. It’s a true destination where everything you need is right there, and you don’t feel the need to leave.
Very few parks truly fall into that third category, but a clothing-optional resort seems like the perfect candidate for it. Unfortunately, Mountain Air Ranch was one of the most disappointing RV parks I’ve ever visited.
If this park we're not clothing optional. I doubt anyone would ever come here. The roads alone are disgustingly, horrible and difficult to traverse and especially if you run into someone coming towards you.
The spacing between sites is ridiculous and as little as 5 or 6 ft. Don't even think about opening an awning. It just smacks of the greediness of this place.
I booked for 2 weeks before I ever saw this place. That was a big mistake. That was $1,200 of wasted money.
