### Traveling: Mojave Desert Adventures: 5 Must-Visit Spots Along Route 66

I've now pinned 5 intriguing places in the Mojave Desert that I’m eager to explore—all conveniently lined up along the iconic Route 66.  

To keep everything organized, I've created a dedicated layer on my Google Maps just for these (marked with purple pins). Clicking any pin opens an info window on the left with details, background, and—more often than not—links to great video explorations (usually from WonderHussy, whose adventures perfectly capture the weird, wild vibes of these spots).

I'm eyeing a trip in late summer (maybe September?), giving me time to hit these before heading south to Quartzsite for the winter. The desert heat should be easing up by then, and the open road will be calling!
